Privacy notice
Short version. The website collects nothing about visitors. The hosted surveys collect what you type, store contact details apart from answers, and never record your IP address.
Who is responsible
ILDATA.org is operated by Access100, a disability-led nonprofit in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, 643 Ilalo St Ste 1000, Honolulu, HI 96813. Contact hello@ildata.org. This notice was last updated on 25 October 2026.
Visitors to the website
- No analytics, no cookies, no third-party scripts or fonts. Every page is served from this domain.
- Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs for a short period to run the service and defend it against abuse. We do not receive or analyse them.
- The contact form sends your name, email, organization and message to us by email and stores nothing. Submissions are rate-limited by a hash of your network address that is not stored.
People who answer a hosted survey
A hosted survey is one you reach at an address beginning ildata.org/s/ through a link from a Statewide Independent Living Council, a Center for Independent Living or another organization. That organization is the one collecting the data; ILDATA.org stores it for them.
What is stored
- Your answers, as you gave them, saved after each step so that stopping part way loses nothing.
- The instrument and its version, the code of the link you used, the state the page was for, the county if you chose one, and the time of each save.
- A random response identifier. It is not derived from anything about you.
- If you choose to give them, your name, email or phone, in a separate table linked only by that identifier.
What is never stored
- Your IP address. It is used in the moment to limit abusive traffic and then discarded.
- Your browser's details or any fingerprint.
- Which other pages you visited, on this site or elsewhere.
Who can see it
- The people the collecting organization has named, after signing in with a one-time code sent to their email. They see counts, and they can export answers (without contact details) and, separately, the follow-up requests of people who gave contact details.
- ILDATA.org staff, to operate the service. We do not publish, sell or share survey data, and we do not use it for anything except running the service and fixing problems with it.
How long
Until the collecting organization asks for deletion, or two years after its link closes, whichever comes first. Anonymous aggregate counts (for example, how many people in a county said housing was an unmet need) may be kept by the organization indefinitely in its own reports.
Your choices
- Every question except the first, and in some instruments the county, may be skipped.
- You may stop at any time. What you answered so far stays, as a partial response, unless you ask for it to be removed.
- To have a response removed, contact the organization that sent you the link, or contact us with the approximate date and the link you used. We cannot find your response by your name because your name is not attached to it, but we can remove responses by date and link, or by the response identifier if you noted it.
People who administer a hosted survey
Sign-in uses Cloudflare Access. Your email address is used to send a one-time code and is recorded against each administrative action (creating a link, exporting a file) in an audit log that the collecting organization may request.
Changes
Changes to this notice are listed in the site's public repository with their dates. A change that affects how survey answers are used will be shown on the consent screen of every hosted survey from the day it takes effect.
